I'm Luca Masselli, an artist, graphic designer and illustrator.
I was born in Figline Valdarno, in that area halfway between Florence and Arezzo where personalities such as Marsilio Ficino and Masaccio were born; I still live and work in this wonderful area of Tuscany, cradle of the Renaissance and many other important artistic and cultural movements. My work as an artist allows me to confront myself with the world of inspiration, suggestions, characters and fantastic places that accompany me from the very first moment when as a child I held the pencil; often I find them as real flashbacks, almost like "déjà vu", in the images that characterize everything about my work.
I have never attended a real art school; after obtaining a technical sales and advertising diploma, I studied painting with Massimo Callossi and Elisa Brunello, famous painters of the Florentine area. In the mean time, I attended the courses of the BSMT Academy of Bologna of dance, singing, acting and set design. In 2010 I returned to Tuscany and I started collaborating with many galleries such as the "Simultanea Gallery" in Florence and the "IAC Gallery" in Impruneta, Florence.
I qualified as a finalist at the "Premio Firenze" for three consecutive years (2013, 2014 and 2015) and I was one of the winners of the "All Arts Award" in 2014. After graduating as Visual Merchandiser at Polimoda in 2014, in 2016 I have also dedicated myself to creating a line of t-shirts with my prints and some unique hand-painted pieces.
In 2020 I participated in the group exhibition "Domani in Arte", at the "Galleria d'Arte Moderna" in Rome and, again in Rome in 2022, I participated in the group exhibition "L'Arte si Mostra" at Palazzo Ferrajoli.
In 2023 I partecipated in many in the ArtExpo Basel in Zurich and some collective exhibitions with ArtBoxy in galleries such as the Thomson Gallery and Casa del Arte.
In 2024 I set up at the OnArt gallery in Florence the personal exhibition "Tarot - La Via Del Re" and presented my book "La Via del Re - Viaggio nella Terra dei Tarocchi".
Also in 2024 I started my collaboration with the gallery Spazio Lac and I was runner-up at the Contemporary Art Talent Show prize at Arte Padova 2024 with the Queen Art Studio Gallery.
